Tired eyes: 2 homemade recipes to relieve them

Long hours spent in front of computer or smartphone screens end up tiring the eyes. If you have red lids and itchy eyes at the end of the day, here are two homemade recipes to try tonight.

CHAMOMILE COMPRESSES

Prepare a chamomile tea, and let it cool.

Dip two pieces of cotton in it, squeeze them a little to wring them out, and place on the eyes. Leave on for about ten minutes. In the absence of a “homemade” infusion, you can of course use ready-made sachets.

Note: chamomile is also very useful in the fight against tension headaches . When a headache is at the tip of his nose, massage your temples with chamomile flower buds or with a compress soaked in chamomile essential oil.

A POULTICE OF MALLOW

The mallow poultice relieves occasional conjunctivitis and soothes red eyes.

Pour a bowl of water over a tablespoon of mallow, boil for a minute and let steep for 10 minutes. Throw away the water and apply the moist, warm flowers directly to the eyes.

Lie down if possible in the dark and keep this poultice of flowers on the eyes for about twenty minutes.

Note: this poultice also helps relieve irritated eyes after a sleepless night.
